Family Life Center has taken on a mission for a long under served community. It's founders have made huge strides with outreach and selfless community support. Great people, great food, and generous hearts make Family Life Center a community jewel! Family Life center has truly been a blessing to the community!
At Family Life Center, they take care of the elders of the community by delivering savory and delicious meals to seniors in need. There s also a food pantry open to the community that has received over 3000 pounds of food and supplies for distribution to families in need. In the middle of very trying times, Family Life Center has become a beacon in a community!
Family Life Community Center has even reached out to essential workers by delivering meals every Thursday to the Methodist Hospital Housekeeping Department, an often forgotten but very essential aspect of the hospital environment. Family Life Community Center Inc has secured 2 full food distribution contracts which means full donation based breakfast and dinner daily! There is also a fully stocked FREE grocery store!
FIGHTING FOR SAFETY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Family Life Community Center Inc is not only known for the delicious food and compassion, but also for championing safety by creating a grant to fund 3 body cameras for City Inspectors and Code Enforcement to record their interactions with the public!
HEROES IN THE PANDEMIC
Family life Community Center Inc has extended their hand to Steel City Academy with a full disinfectant fogger from the donations provided by NIPSCO and Legacy Foundation. School distribution for PPE items arrive to assist with fighting Covid-19 for the children and staff.
